The lid is in the station square at JR Funaoka Station, a few steps from the ticket gate, so there is nothing to hunt for. The foot of Funaoka Castle Park is close by; a sign on site reads "500m to the summit (Peace Kannon), 10 minutes on foot." There is a steep stretch along the way.

The "500m / 10 minutes" figure is to the park summit, not to the lid.
